Lee Irving murder: Disabled man 'killed by bunch of bullies had mind of an eight-year-old'

A disabled man found murdered had "the mind of an eight-year-old" and was killed "by a bunch of bullies", his mother has said.
A shocked resident found the body of Lee Irving, 24, on a pathway at 8.30am on Saturday morning in Newcastle.

Police said described him as "vulnerable" as he suffered from learning difficulties.
They are treating the shocking murder as a possible disability hate crime.
Five people - a woman and four men - have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in custody for questioning.
Lee's heartbroken mum Bev wrote on Facebook how her son had been killed by "a bunch of f** bully (sic) he had the mind of a eight year old xc "
It is believed it is the second tragedy to hit Bev after her boyfriend also died recently.
Paying tribute to Lee, locals described him as a friendly young man.
"I'm so sorry for all your loss I liked Lee so much always put his hand out to shake it hope those responsible never get out gutted ain't the word I'm so sorry," wrote one person.
