Two police officers have been suspended after a man died in custody following a brutal arrest.
A video, shot by an onlooker on March 31 in Vineland, New Jersey, shows themoment police attempt to handcuff 32-year-old Phillip White.
One officer is seen punching the defenceless man before another releases a police dog and prompts it to attack.
Mr White later died in police custody.
Police were called to the area by residents in the neighbourhood who said Mr White was on the pavement acting in a strange manner.
Officers Louis Plantania and Richard Janasiak, of Vineland Police Station, responded to the call, but White resisted arrest and even tried to grab one of the officers' guns, according to investigators.
Mr White was later rushed to hospital where he died. Autopsy results have not yet been released, according to WPVI News.
