At least one person has been killed after a jet crashed into a motorway in Germany.
It's understood the plane had just taken off from a nearby airfield when it got into difficulty at about 1.30pm.
The male pilot was killed in the smash, according to local media reports, and three others were injured.
Police described one of the passengers, thought to be the co-pilot, as "seriously injured".
Incredibly, no motorists are thought to have been hurt in the incident on the A28, near Oldenburg.
The plane crash landed between a fence and a guardrail and if it had been just four metres to the right it probably would have hit passing cars.
According to Bild the pilot was very experienced. A fire brigade spokesman said: "There is one dead and three seriously injured."
Two of the survivors were trapped in the wreckage and had to be freed by firefighters.
The wounded were taken to hospital by helicopter and the road has been closed.
A large area was completely cordoned off as an "explosion hazard" due to leaking kerosene.
Harrowing images, taken at scene, show the scale of damage the impact of the landing had on the cockpit.
It is not yet known where the plane was flying to. The plane lies next to the road, with one of its wings sticking out over the guardrail into the motorway.
Early reports suggest the plane may have shaved the nearby trees before coming down.
Although, emergency services do not yet know what caused the plane to crash so soon after taking off.
Experts from the country's Federal Aviation Agency have been informed and are on their way to the crash site.
The incident caused traffic chaos and tailbacks, with many families on their way back from Easter holidays at the North Sea islands.
