Man Arrested As Missing Essex Girls Found


A 22-year-old has been arrested after two Essex teenagers who went missing on Friday were found safe and well.


The man from the Southend area was arrested after Sammy Clarke, 14, and Siobhan Clarke, 15, were discovered in Westcliff just after 10am.


The girls, who are from the Maldon area and are not related, left school early on 1 May to meet up with Kieran Hartley-Anderson, 22.

Extensive searches for the trio were carried out in Southend.

A police spokesman said: "We are also no longer searching for Keiran Hartley-Anderson, 22.

"He was also found in Hamlet Court Road.

"A 22-year-old man from the Southend area has been arrested in connection with this incident.

"Many thanks to everyone who shared our appeal."
