Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades had on Thursday separate meetings with European Parliament President Martin Schulz and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides has said.
He also had brief meetings with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President François Hollande on the sidelines of a European Council, in Brussels.
In statements to the press, Christodoulides said that during his brief meetings with Merkel and Hollande President Anastasiades briefed them on recent developments in the Cyprus issue and on his position for the need to create the right framework so that the peace talks can recommence with prospects for a positive outcome.
