A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a teacher was stabbed in the stomach at a Bradford school.
The 14-year-old was detained in Bradford city centre after police issuedan appeal for information about the pupil's whereabouts.
Police say the 50-year-old male teacher was stabbed once in the stomach during a science class just before 9am at Dixons Kings Academy.
He was taken to hospital, but did not suffer internal bleeding and is said to be in a stable condition. The boy immediately fled after the attack.
Detective Superintendent Simon Atkinson, of West Yorkshire Police, said: "We have just arrested a 14-year-old male in connection with this offence and he is currently in custody on suspicion of attempted murder."
